1. Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing Support)

This qualification represents the responsibilities of workers in community and residential environments who implement personalised plans to deliver person-centred support to individuals needing assistance due to aging or disability. The role requires discretion and judgment in providing tailored support while taking accountability for one’s work outcomes.

2. Certificate IV in Ageing Support

This qualification represents the role of support workers who perform specialised tasks and functions within aged care services, whether in residential, home, or community settings. These workers will be accountable for their outcomes while adhering to established organisational guidelines, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.

3. Diploma in Community Services

This qualification represents the roles of community service professionals, case managers, and social housing workers who manage, coordinate, and deliver person-centred services to individuals, groups, and communities. At this level, these workers possess specialised skills in community services and operate independently while following general guidelines from senior management.

Entry Requirements

The Aged Care & Community Services program requires prospective students to have completed the following to ensure success in the course

  • Have completed high school (Year 11 equivalent) and passed
  • Provide evidence of English language scores*, EILTS 5.5 or PTE/ OET/ CAE equivalent. Please see the Australian Department of Home Affairs - English Language Requirements Page
