Packaged Engineering (Welding & Fabrication) Program

The Engineering (Welding & Fabrication) program contains Two Australian Nationally Recognised qualifications that must be completed in sequence. The qualifications are:

1. Certificate IV in Engineering

This qualification outlines the skills and knowledge needed for higher engineering tradespersons in metal, engineering, manufacturing, and related industries. It covers a broad range of engineering fields, including refrigeration, CNC programming, fluid power, heavy fabrication, maintenance, marine electronics, mechatronics, robotics, and welding.

2. Diploma of Engineering - Advanced Trade

This qualification equips individuals with the skills and knowledge for employment as an Advanced Engineering Tradesperson – Level II in metal, engineering, manufacturing, and related industries. It is designed for apprentices pursuing higher-level studies during their training or for existing engineering tradespersons.

Entry Requirements

The Engineering (Welding & Fabrication) program requires prospective students to have completed the following to ensure success in the course

  • Have completed high school (Year 11 equivalent) and passed
  • Provide evidence of English language scores*, EILTS 5.5 or PTE/ OET/ CAE equivalent. Please see the Australian Department of Home Affairs - English Language Requirements Page
*Some countries are exempt from English requirements.
